Seeking out counselling is a massive step, and no matter what brings you here, you are starting on a path of personal growth and healing.

Counselling does not have to be long term, it can be for 6/8 sessions, or for months depending on your need.

It's not always about trying to fix yourself; sometimes we get stuck in the thought pattern that we need to be fixed. Therapy is about looking through the filing cabinet of your life, looking at the messiness, then going through the files and throwing some out, keeping others, putting some to the back of the drawer for another day. Often we find a file which has been lost.

The job of the therapist is to allow you to explore those files in safety.
